Annual Kick Off of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month. We will meet in Governor Austin Blair Memorial Park, right across the street from our office, to hear short comments from dignitaries and then plant a pinwheel garden in the park. Pinwheels are the symbol for Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention. Following the ceremony, we will have food and drinks at our office across from the park. From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm we will offer Stewards of Children training at a cost of $10 for the booklet that you can keep. SAVE THE DATE to join us for a fun-filled night of costumes, hearty hor d'oeuvres, cash bar, dancing, and fundraising. Tickets are $75 per couple or $40 per single. Water, lemonade, tea or coffee is included. Prizes will be awarded and make sure that you bring your spare change for a friendly competition.
